Kurt Romischer is currently operating at full capacity with a significant backlog for the tax season. As a result, we are filing extensions for all appointments booked at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Our team is working diligently to provide you with the best possible service and we thank you for your patience during this time.
Kurt Romischer is welcoming new client and referral appointments mid June thru Sept for the 2022 tax filing season.
Mary Kobayashi Connole and Rophia Ho are delighted to welcome new clients and are now open for booking appointments without a client referral.
Thank you for choosing our firm to handle your tax needs. We would like to request that all of your tax documents be uploaded to your secure tax portal or submitted to our office prior to your scheduled appointment time. If this is not done, we will have to reschedule the appointment.
New Clients please email your accountant a request to activate your own personal secure tax document portal . Uploading a previous year tax return to the guest exchange in the portal will move the setup process swiftly. We look forward to working with you!
(March 2023 Update)
If you are booking an appointment in March or April, please be aware that we will automatically file an extension after the meeting, free of charge as a precaution, to accommodate the backlog of previously met clients. We will still make every effort to complete tax returns before the April 18th deadline, but the extension will give us until October 15th in case more time is needed. If taxes are completed before the April 18th deadline, the extension will be disregarded. However, if it is after April 18th, interest and a penalty may be assessed only if you owe taxes to the IRS, even with an extension filed after the original deadline. To avoid these IRS fees, an estimated extension payment must be made before April 18th that applies towards 2022 extension. Please visit IRS.gov/Payments to apply the payment to the first person listed on the tax returns' Social Security number, and apply the payment to IRS form 4868. If you are due a refund, the IRS will pay you interest after the deadline. Thank you for your understanding.
Our goal is to make your tax filing process as simple and stress-free as possible. We're here to advise you on the tax implications of various financial decisions and create strategic plans which minimize future tax liabilities.
